For the last six months, I’ve been applying continuously but haven’t received a single interview call. Until January, I had a good-paying job, but due to health issues, I had to resign. Since then, I’ve been actively searching for opportunities. In the meantime, I upskilled myself with three courses in data analysis and software development, but still, no luck. It’s been frustrating, and honestly, sometimes it feels like the end of the road.

Is anyone actually finding jobs in New Zealand right now? I've been job hunting since February - NEARLY SIX MONTHS!! - I'm SO discouraged. I'm perfect for some of the jobs i'm applying for and there's just radio silence most of the time. I'm in project management - does anyone have any hot tips? It shouldn't be this hard!

I’ve been job hunting for nearly 2 years, featured on RNZ & Breakfast, Hoping that while I put myself out there it would help me find some opportunities. I have experience in Retail,Hospitality & Factory,I’ve applied everywhere online, in person, emailing, calling but no luck .While searching for work I’ve assisted in photography and done cleaning. I’m so down bad at this point that I’m willing to work any hours, any pay, any conditions. I’m desperate to get back into the workforce :) Ngā mihi

My cousin recently got a job after months of searching - she was having difficulty securing a role for a few months and I checked in often to try help where I could. Plot twist - the hiring manager was someone who rejected her in the past but kept her profile on hand for - what is now - a future opportunity. Maybe someone needs to hear this today - sometimes "no" just means "not yet" and staying calm, gracious and patient can be a networking moment for a better role.

For almost 2 years I’ve continued to search for work here there everywhere for anything and everything and not 1 interview just a sorry this position has been filled and good luck for future opportunities. Then a week later see the same jobs that turned me down back up what is it? It is seek do we need to find a new way of finding work? Or are they really just looking for people they can use abuse and cast aside

I have been trying on more than 8 months now trying to find a job and so far all I get are rejection letters even for roles that I know my CV was good for. I hold a Master in Business (Professional) and I only did it because I want to further my understanding a score a great job in the corporate world, but so far its just a list of rejection letters :(

I've had two interviews so far since the beginning of the month. First interview was great and got my hopes up as they were getting me hyped up but didn't get the job, and the second was OK, but also didn't get it as they say that I didn't show the skills that they were expecting, like come on. I dislike interviews especially when there's more than 1 person on the panel as they call it.

I am a student finishing up with my studies at the end of November. I have applied to so many jobs but have never heard anything back. The fear is that I won't get a job and enough hours that be able to pay my rent, and my current employer can't give me the hours I need......
