I hate this. I hate life. This. Sucks. I barely even get looked at by employers. All I have ever done in my life is be a Storeperson. LET ME BE MORE THAN THAT. I can't even go studying to be anything better. Society is too expensive to save any money to study. Bullying in school cut me off from opportunities. Finding a different job now feels impossible... I want a job involving animals / something physical. I seriously can't go back to warehouse work. I swear I will absolutely lose my mind. :(

Job ads are down, unemployment’s up, wages haven’t kept pace with living costs, and the number of Kiwis moving overseas has tripled. Meanwhile, public sector cuts are making it worse. Is this just a rough cycle or are we watching New Zealand hollow itself out long-term?

What are some of your tips to network in Auckland? I have been finding it incredibly hard to find a commerical accounting role when it was a whole different world a couple years ago. I really want to find good regular practices to improve my chances as the good ol' applying for roles and waiting around is incredibly hard if you want to find a role thats got a different job title than your current role.

Hey everyone! Not sure if this will help anyone but here it is anyways, I’ve been a chef for over 13 years working across the country and based in Auckland since this June. I’ve had plenty of interviews and have stepped into a couple of places for work but nothing concrete even with my level of experience 🥲. But I’ve noticed something strange with this current job market and how cutting corners to survive is becoming a thing with the current economic climate. As hard it is don’t give up guys!

Hello Everyone I’ve worked 2+ years in cybersecurity, mainly in SOC, threat hunting, and IR, using tools like Sentinel, Defender XDR, and Carbon Black. I hold SC-200 and Practical Ethical Hacking certs. I found that the ICT Security Specialist role is on NZ’s Tier 1 Green List, which supports residency and sponsorship.
