Hello Everyone I’ve worked 2+ years in cybersecurity, mainly in SOC, threat hunting, and IR, using tools like Sentinel, Defender XDR, and Carbon Black. I hold SC-200 and Practical Ethical Hacking certs. I found that the ICT Security Specialist role is on NZ’s Tier 1 Green List, which supports residency and sponsorship. I’d love to hear from anyone in NZ cybersecurity about job demand, visa sponsorship, and tips on landing a role from abroad. Any advice or leads would be greatly appreciated!

I need advice. My workplace unfortunately has a culture of (some) people feeling the need to prove themselves constantly. I just like to put my head down and get my work done, but find I am often asked to weigh into discussions that I feel are slightly combative. But It’s not like I can just ignore people in my team when asked for my professional opinion. How can I navigate this? What is a polite way of opting out of non-productive workplace 'rivalry'?

A question about job mobility: how many years should you work in one role before getting promoted or looking for a more senior job somewhere else? I'm hoping for some insights from ppl in supply chain logistics. I’m a part-time inventory coordinator at a big company and have the chance to move into a full-time operations role for way more pay.
