Honestly, like it’s getting irritating getting Notified on seek “You are a strong applicant for this role”, go to apply for it & then get a email days later saying “sorry you were unsuccessful for this role, they have found a better suitable candidate for this role. Like Don’t hype me up at the beginning and then make me apply for it to get turned away lol. Maybe if anyone has any techniques on How I can go about applying for my Jobs, to ensure that I pass through the applying stage lol.

Honestly what I have going rn. It annoys me knowing you have years of experience & they wanna be fussy about it. No matter how hard you apply for a job that looks like the right one, they’ll still decline and give jobs to people who probably don’t even have experience, honestly why most workers don’t do they’re jobs properly. Someone has to say it soz lol

Try not to take it too hard Esther. I get it's a big let down but don't think seek wouldn't be sending that if you didn't have some skills that lined up with what the employer's looking for. Sometimes employers need a bit of help joining the dots. Not for everyone but I always like to include a cover letter to show them exactly how my skills line up with what they're looking for. Also a good chance to let them know what attracted you to the job/company.

Brush up your job hunting skill. You tube has tonnes of posts on the topic of job hunting all the do's and dont's. Always have a positive mindset, practice gratitude daily. Anything you don't know then search the web for the answers. You will be surprised what you can learn. Good luck trooper

Show up to the workplace. Hand your CV to the person who is doing the hiring. Make an impression first hand.

We understand that could hit a little harder after finding out you're a strong applicant Esther. The badge is based on details like the job ad, your default CV, profile details etc. But it's shown to you only, and not to employers so won't play a part there. https://help.seek.co.nz/s/article/What-is-the-You-might-be-a-strong-applicant-badge While we don't play a part in who employers choose, you can use the contact form to let us know if the badge was a bad fit for the role.
