How easy / hard to get Electrician Apprenticeship in Aotearoa rn? Do I need to get NCEA Level 3 or should I apply now (I'm 16) to 'get ahead'? Any advice appreciated...

not sure if its still available but you used to able to do a FTE (full-time equivalant) course which was 1 academic year which covered your first 2 years of academic off job theory component of the electrical trade cert. It covered all on job and off job unit standard reqirements in what used to be level 2 and 3, ans while studying in what time you hqve spare look into either labouring or part time for a sparky
