I apply only for jobs I am 100% qualified for and experienced to do. Recently got a rejection email saying my skills “don’t align with the role” mind you the job title was the exact same as my current job title, and I answered all the criteria. I’ve had plenty of rejections but this one just irked me. Does it mean my application wasn’t even looked at by a human? What can I do to communicate that I am actually exactly qualified for a role?

Totally understand how that would leave you feeling, especially when you sound like a great fit! We can't say for sure if the resume was looked at, but it might be worth going over things to check if your CV is ATS Friendly.
