How hard is it for a 50+ to find a role after 25 years at one company?

I won’t pretend it’s super easy, but 25 years at one company says a lot about you. That kind of consistency and experience still counts, even if the market feels different now. It might take some adjusting, but it’s definitely not impossible

That kind of loyalty you'd think is a really good thing but I think the danger is that some employers will see that as settling down and maybe not being adaptable. My advice is to think about how you can show you did lots of different things over that time, especially highlight any sideways moves or promotions. Be really clear about any training and development you undertook etc. and try to demonstrate you're up for new challenges and want to learn new things.

Hopefully shouldn't be too hard Tracy. You sound like you've got a great story to tell. Fingers crossed that's how it goes.

Definitely hide your age on your CV and cover letter, they'll know you're 40+ from the job history but not the specifics. And when you get the interview, 25 years loyalty is a heck of a green flag
