It’s so valuable to learn from your feedback though. Even bad feedback is good feedback because you can always work on your flaws if you know what they are. But if you’re not told why you didn’t get the postion how can we improve?

I think its okay to ask, but I reckon sometimes if just that someone else was a better option, even just by a little bit. It doesn't mean you did anything wrong, it just wasn't a match. I guess thats why sometimes the feedback is generic.
