Office Manager
Like many of you have also expressed, I have spent months applying to jobs to no avail. I've been called back for several interviews. The most recent was two different interviews for the same position, ~4 hours long in total. After weeks of being strung along, I received a call back from the owner stating they would no longer be hiring for that position and that they didn't think there was enough space for another person. (I'm a chef). How can this type of stuff even be legal?

That sounds like a rough experience to go through. Out of curiosity what sort of questions were they asking for the interviews to be 4 hours long? That seems excessive to me and sorry that was the outcome for you :(

Im sorry but 4 hours is ridiculous, especially for a role as a chef. Appreciate there's a tonne of skill involved, but its not like its a high level government security role or something that has to go through layers and layers of reviewing. Im sorry your time was wasted like that.
