Cafe Assistant
Ive been constantly applying for jobs since 2022 i had to leave my last job cause of an incident that damaged my back which cause me to have minor back surgery before i could recover i was hit with the news that i had a huge tear on my left mitral valve near my heart so of course i had to get minor surgery to repair that.eventually i got better and started applying for jobs i had a impressive cv i applied for so many jobs and majority i never heard back.even now applied havent heard back.

Yikes Sharon that's a tough run with injuries/illness. You deserve a good run at it now so I hope something comes through. Have you been able to chase down any feedback on those applications?

Operations Assistant
I feel like its the algorithm that does a lot of the initial sorting & I dont think it does a very good job. I've had comments from Seek saying I'm a strong contender for a job I have no experience in....

Glad to hear you're through all of that Sharon. May not be this but these days it can be an idea to make sure your resume is optimised for applicant tracking systems as sometimes your resume won't get through to a human if you don't have the right keywords in there. I'm far from an expert but I think it's a case of making sure you're using a lot of the same language as the job ad.
