New grad nurse here! any advice for breaking into the job market right now? just finished my degree and have my APC, but it feels really competitive and I’m not sure what I should be doing differently. Should I be applying outside NETP? Looking at aged care? Aussie? Would genuinely appreciate practical advice....

first of all congrats on finishing and getting your APC... that’s no small thing. it's super competitive right now so please don’t spiral thinking it’s just you. If NETP doesn’t land, I’d honestly widen it.. aged care, primary, community, even rural. getting that first year of solid clinical experience matters! aussie’s an option, but I’d personally try get a supported first year if you can. once u get the experience, you'll be ok! You’re not behind!!

New grad in this market is no joke, so first of all… congrats on finishing and getting your APC. That’s huge.
It makes sense that it feels competitive right now. You’ve done all the “right” things and it still feels uncertain — that’s frustrating.
I don’t have specific advice, but just know you’re not behind or doing it wrong. A lot of grads are feeling the same pressure. The fact you’re proactive and even asking these questions already says you care about your career.

Congrats Margot! It's definitely competitive out here, but make sure your resume highlights any placements, skills or specialties you're interested in. hope it works out for you!
