Unpopular opinion: staying in healthcare might be the bigger risk.
In my 30s, in a stable clinical role, but the pay feels unfair and burnout seems… normalized!! if you’ve walked away from healthcare, what did you move into? Did it genuinely get better or was it just a different kind of stress?

That doesn’t even sound unpopular, it sounds honest. Burnout being “part of the job” is such a red flag.
I know a few people who left and went into things like health tech, corporate roles, even totally different industries. It wasn’t stress-free, just different. Less emotional exhaustion, more KPI-type pressure.
Some of them are way happier. Some miss the purpose. I think it really depends what’s draining you more right now — the work itself or the system around it.

I feel you on this and your concerns are totally valid. I've seen friends make the jump into different roles like corporate wellness and some say that the stress was different. But the pay and work-life balance improvement were real tho. Just need to tell you that whatever you choose, prioritizing your wellbeing isn't walking away! Mental health is important.
