I work for a local non-profit in social work and have for the last 6 years but I'm ideally looking to move into a government role at Health New Zealand. How hard is it to get a job there?

It might be worth learning Maori Te Reo to a level so you can confidently introduce yourself. i.e. learn your pepiha.

I've got some friends who work in government and have spoken to them about it before and they mentioned there's a bit of an art to applying for the jobs. It's a bit different and more structured than other jobs. It might be worth looking into that if you know anyone in a gov job.
