Been looking for a full time job for 2 years. Thousands of applications. A few interviews.
Only to hear that some places are using AI to sift through applications. This feels kind of unfair.
Gonna be time to go back to basics and avoid online applications.

Happy 2 help with your cv for free so you get employers attention straight away. Submitted my cv the night before and gotta callback the next day and shortlisted down to the final 2. Didn't get the job but got my foot in the door did this for my partner and cousin and they both got interviews straight away. Also you are competing with hundreds of other applicants so your cv, cover letter needs 2 stand out and your skills, experience and attitude need to match what the employer is looking for.

Lowkey go get a grant from winz for 10k and start your own business only thing is you'd need to write and put together a solid plan so they will be able to put your application forward

AI screening can be brutal. Going back to basics—networking, referrals, direct outreach definitely helps.

I would suggest getting a professional to make you up a CV. Yes it costs. but yes its worth it. a cv done in a modern formatted clear concise set up is EXTREMELY vital. it is the new way of communication, and sent digitally at the click.
yes we can easily do our own but we will never be able to stand in that domain properly, its why we get a lawyer- we can speak but they know the language and protocols, try it ive just done it and I will have a job by Xmas. I know beyond a doubt,I will be hired

The ai to sift through applications is incredibly disheartening. I should start using ai to apply to jobs /s

I spent 4.5 hours on a AI app .. reason why it took so long it was glitching. it assessed my answers and then processed a theory behind my thinking????? Still waiting or an answer and doubting I will get one .. what was confirmed the actual position was casual and they couldn't guarantee me even 8 hours.
