Has anyone here done a degree or Polytech course in their 30's? I got an bank job straight out of school and I don't hate it but I'm so bored and I want to do something else, I'm not even sure what. I'm about to turn 30 and feel lost.
I like the idea of doing something creative but I literally hve no certificates or skills. Whst are my realistic options here?

No but I recently did one in my late forties. Check locally and see if there are any free courses near you. I did free level 4 and free level 5 certificates and before I realised I ended up doing a degree! Try careers.govt.nz website to help identify any skills or interests you might have, and what jobs would suit that. That will also tell you what you need to do to qualify for the career you want.

Polytech is fun, I am constantly doing courses and certificates through Open Polytechnic. I highly recommend you do it, even if just for yourself. Distance learning is great because you get to do it at your own pace and if a topic interests you, you can dive into it deeper yourself.

No experience directly myself but would just say you've still got so much time at 30. I had a friend who reskilled via poly in his late 40s into a technical role in digital marketing and is absolutely smashing it now at 59 and loves his job. Whatever you decide, it's very doable.
