Yeah, I really have. Once I stayed, I was kind of content with what it was anyway and it led to some new skills. But a lot of adjustment needed. Another time though, I realised it wasn't even remotely what I thought. I stayed, but only while looking for something else. And just kept my old boss as the reference

Never believe what they present to you in interviews. Thats their way of trying to get you to sign on. I have had this happen many times. Usually when they are desperate the offer more or "Potentially" down the line the longer you work.
