Question about resigning - do you write your resignation in the body of the email or as an attached letter - which is better? Every resignation letter template I see online looks like a formal letter - is this an outdated practice or are letters still the done thing?

Depends on the workplace, in more corporate enviroment I attach a doc for them to print out for their records. I think either way, its fine though.
