I'm an illustrator in an all-rounder digital role doing social media, video editing, basic graphic design etc. and I'm not finding it fulfilling. I don't really enjoy "content creation" and want to move into a more serious design role at one of the bigger agencies but I don't know where to start. Aside from applying for jobs I like, is there anything else I can do to make the leap? Should I be mocking up concepts to put in my portfolio or even Award School? Any advice?

You're asking all the right questions when it comes to the CV! This sounds like it could be a really great way to stand out, and shows you've gone to the extra effort to pitch what you can do. Once people have some experience, they might choose to leave things off, but for now it sounds like award school and any side projects you might have are worth highlighting. ☺️
