I need some advice about managing up. I just joined a new team and the manger is just so so hectic. I get updates/feedback from him on projects at the last minute, he's always busy and travels in different time zones so half the time isn't contactable or is late to respond to questions. The whole team is going crazy. How do I tactfully but effectively get him to communicate with us properly?

Im not a big fan of meetings usually, but what about a scheduled catch up? This might push the manager into somewhat of a routine when it comes to communication
