I feel trapped in a low-paid service job with exhausting early starts and barely enough hours to survive. I tried studying to break out of it, now I can’t even afford to complete the course. It honestly feels like you need money to stop being broke… and I’m running out of energy trying. If anyone’s been through this and found a way out, I could really use some advice. What should I actually be doing next?

If you can, transition to a more menial & normal work hour job for the sake of stress reduction, pay will still be low but the point is to use this as funding. Next do as many polytechnic part time courses as you can that actually produce certificates. Beauty is you can arrange a payment plan/funding. For example business first line management certification (completely online).

Progress rarely feels obvious when you’re in the middle of it. It’s like weight training, you don’t see results straight away, but every session counts and over time you realise you’re stronger. Life works the same way. Small steps add up, even when it feels slow. Stay open to opportunities, even small ones. Keep moving toward what matters and let the progress build.

The only option is to keep applying and doing side courses self improvement in spare time. Doesn't need to be paid for courses either, the beauty of today's age is having nearly everything available information wise on a device. If you need help or just want someone to chat with feel free to contact me

I was stuck in a door to door sales job once. I hated it so much. And a friend one day said "So just apply for some other entry level job and talk about what you do at this one" I was worried they wouldn't want me, and he just pointed out this job clearly did. It sucks feeling trapped, but even if you're going to study to do something else later, you can apply for something with better hours now

You're right, it is exhausting. Something I think a lot of people are doing now is side hustles. It may not turn into a full hustle, but there's a chance. So have a think about something you feel like you're good at, and then turn it into a service which can fill the gaps where you need those hours.

Honestly, pack it up and leave. If it's not working for you and it's making you unhappy, it's definitely not worth it. Spend the free time to reset and focus on what you want, aim high, you know you are worth it.

People often need to borrow to complete courses, I recommend you persevere and get a student loan, if its a course that will open the door to better paying jobs. It pays off in the long run.
