Furniture and Homewares Design Consultant
My manager frequently assigns me minor administrative tasks that could easily be completed by her, yet she chooses to email them to me for completion when I return to work.
Examples include printing a contractor list or saving contact numbers to the office phone.
Is this considered normal management practice?

I had a manager that used to do things like that. None of it was too weird that you could actually complain about it, but none of it was my job at all. I waited til I was having a chat with HR about something else to "just ask"

Honestly sounds like it would take longer to email those than do it themselves. Is that stuff a long way from your job description?

Do you reckon it's something you could talk to them about? Not in a negative, complaining way...More like 'I want to make sure I'm providing you with as much value as I can'. Or maybe something a bit better than that 🤣
