Marketing Manager
Hey everyone, I’ve just taken a year off for maternity leave and I’m ready to start applying for roles again. I’m wondering how to best address the employment gap - should I mention it directly in my cover letter or put "maternity leave" on my resume?
Or would it be better to leave it off entirely and address it during an interview instead?
I’m a bit worried that the gap might affect my chances of hearing back.

Hi Jordan, i am not sure what kind of job you are looking for, but i have added both my 6 month maternity leave to my CV. We need to be OK and proud to be able to stay at home with our kids, whats the point of feeling guilty for it. I haven't had a problem AT ALL with that as of yet, as i guess all my other jobs and length in jobs (5 years) speak for themselves. All the best
