Marketing Manager
Over my career I've built a broad, generalist skill set - but with the rise of AI and increasing specialisation, I'm wondering if this is still the best way to stay relevant or if I should double down on a specific focus like brand, product, or digital marketing. Has anyone faced a similar fork in the road, and how did you decide whether to go niche or stay general? Did it limit your career opportunities, or open them up?

This is so relevant. Generalists actually have advantages in the AI era.. your ability to connect dots is super valuable. Consider a "spiky" profile perhaps? Stay broad but go deeper in one passionate area? A lot of JDs I come across seem to want T-shaped professionals these days.
