An Aged Care Registered Nurse is a qualified health professional providing care to older patients in community settings, residential care environments and hospital geriatric departments. Their responsibilities include administering medication, assessing and monitoring health conditions, facilitating rehabilitation exercises and sometimes providing emotional support to patients and their families. As part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, Aged Care Registered Nurses liaise with other healthcare providers to develop and oversee individualised care plans. Tasks and duties
- Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individual patient care plans.
