- How will an employer contact me? There are three ways potential employers may reach out to connect with you after viewing your SEEK profile.
They’ll send you the job. Employers can send a link to their job ad to candidates they feel would be a great fit for the role they’re looking to fill. There’s no obligation to apply, but whatever action you decide to take, thank the employer for reaching out and recommending the role to you. It’s courteous, and will hold you in good stead should you want to reach out about other opportunities later.
They’ll send you a message. Employers can reach out to you with an email, detailing how available positions might be suited to you particularly, or asking for more information about your skills and experience. The information a prospective employer has access to is based on what’s included in your profile, or surfaced from the resume you uploaded and attached. This means that when they do contact you, they may offer you an interview to discuss the role without you needing you to go through the conventional application process.
