ASSET INTEGRITY ENGINEER

MODEC is a dynamic multi-national company operating in more than 25 countries and employing over 2,500 people. We provide Floating Production System operation and maintenance services around the world, with a regional office in New Plymouth, supporting the Maari Field operation. We are currently recruiting for an Asset Integrity Engineer to join our team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain, implement and coordinate corrosion control and monitoring activities through a standardised Corrosion Management Plan (CMP) and Asset Integrity Management Plan across Maari facilities. 
  • Manage the Maari CMP through the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure that adequate inspection and maintenance is being carried out.
  • Plan, manage and execute Integrity improvement projects. 
  • Assist in investigating all break-down due to reliability / integrity related issues across Maari facilities. 
  • Collation of all integrity related failure investigations and creation of recommendations to Technical Manager. 
  • Assist with HAZID’s / HAZOP’s and any other reviews as required.
  • Reporting to Technical Manager for day-to-day instruction and liaising with members of the offshore Facility Management Team, Procurement Team and others within the Operations Support team locally and internationally as required.

Key skills and experience required: 

  • Engineering Degree.
  • Minimum 5 years Oil and Gas experience with working knowledge of corrosion inspection techniques and their application; 
  • A knowledge of process safety, safety case and Major Accident Event (MAE) core principles. 
  • Strong analytical and evaluation capability. 
  • Strong computer-based analytical skills. 
  • Effective intra-team and interdisciplinary communication skills. 
  • Exposure to QA/ QC systems. 
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A qualification in API 570, API 510 and API 580 is preferred.
