Netball Northern Zone is responsible for both grassroots and semi-professional netball from the southern limits of the Auckland region to the top of the North Island. Encompassing our 17 netball centre partners with over 50,000 participants, as well as the Northern Mystics premiership semi-professional team, this is an exciting role for a seasoned sports executive. Reporting to the Zone Board, the CEO is responsible for developing the Netball Northern Zone strategic and business plans with the Board and for implementing the plan with the Zone staff and wider volunteer team. The CEO is also responsible for the Northern Mystics premiership team.
The CEO is responsible for providing an environment that encourages participation, supports sustainable community netball organisations and champions improvement at all levels and in all areas of Netball.
In order to fulfil its purpose, the CEO must ensure the Zone is financially secure through generating and implementing the funding strategy for Netball Northern Zone and the commercial strategy for the Northern Mystics team.
The CEO must provide high-quality leadership to ensure that the Zone is an efficient and effective body that meets appropriate best practice standards as a highly respected community-based regional sports organisation. The CEO is responsible for protecting and enhancing external relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
