Play Advisor (Recreation Advisor)

Upper Hutt City Council will be required to deliver the expectations set out in the Kiwisport contract of He Kakano Takaro – The Seeds of Play.  The Play Advisor’s role will be to lead the initiative in two communities in Upper Hutt – with the aim to:

  • Access play opportunities within 15 minutes from their home
  • Engage the community to create play-able spaces
  • Create Play Champions
  • Support community-led opportunities, and share the successes and learnings of this project.

You will be required to work with two communities of interest and work towards a community-led approach for sustainability.

Previous experience working with communities, play or sport and recreation is a must.
