The Role

As a Quality Practice Leader, you will lead a diverse team of people to be innovative to support and collaborate with the people we support, their family/whanau and others in their lives.  This enables the people we support to live as independently as possible, and to access their communities for activities and opportunities that are meaningful to them.  A critical component of the role is developing, supporting and leading teams to develop and implement comprehensive plans, goals and outcomes to ensure the supports facilitated meet the needs and aspirations of people we support - enabling them to live their life, their way. The role is based in the Waikato/King Country with head office being in Te Awamutu.  

We are looking for a person who has a passion for working in a team environment and in partnership with others.  You will have experience in leading teams who are working with individuals who have an intellectual disability, autism and/or challenging behavior.  You will need a full New Zealand driver’s license and be prepared to work flexible hours and be available for on-call on a roster system.  Excellent communication skills, leadership and staff development, computer literacy, attention to detail and the ability to work with others is essential together with being creative and open to new ideas.  The ideal candidate will have a qualification in disability support services or health and community services.
