Warehouse General Assistant

We are an innovative retailer in NZ, stocking a variety of quality furniture, home wares and lifestyle products.   

We are looking for a motivated team player, who has the skills and passion to succeed in a busy Distribution Centre.

The position are based in our Wiri Distribution Centre and reports to the Warehouse Manager. 

You will become part of a fantastic, fun, driven team who work very closely together! This role is full time - 40 hours a week.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Picking, dispatching and checking orders.
  • Unloading containers
  • Checking and processing inwards goods.
  • Use of counterbalance and reach forklift.
  • Updating MPI records.
  • Inventory checks.
  • Warehouse maintenance and housekeeping. 

Essential Requirements:

  • High attention to detail.
  • A can do attitude
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Current Forklift License.  Experience operating a Reach forklift is desirable.
  • Current Full Driving License would be an advantage.
  • Current MPI Accreditation would be an advantage.  Training will be provided where required.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Physically fit.  As we are primarily a furniture business, some heavy lifting will be required.
