FIRST Security provides a unique monitoring service contributing to the safety of the New Zealand Public. Our Monitoring team are specially trained agents who monitor, manage and provide support utilising hi-tech monitoring equipment. They play a crucial role in responding to alerts generated by the equipment, co-ordinating responses to the alerts, communicating outcomes to the end users as well as scheduled health and safety checks and support to our Field staff with a defined set of specialised protocols and procedures 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

 You need good communication skills for a job like this, as you will be working with a huge variety of people every day. Communication skills, attention to detail and following instructions is essential to be successful in this role.

 

To do this you need:

  • You must be able to pass a Criminal background check
  • Your computer skills will be at an intermediate or advanced level
  • To have excellent attention to detail
  • Confident phone manner with a good command of the English language
  • Have good clear verbal communication skills
  • Some experience with writing reports will be an advantage.

 

HOURS OF WORK – varied shifts available for both full time and part time hours- tell us what hours suit you, we may be able to accommodate.

 

Unlike some monitoring centres, you will not be treated like a robot in ours. We won't time everything you do down to the second as we focus on accuracy not speed, you won't be on endless calls with angry customers, and we won't ask you to sell anyone anything!
