People and Performance Coordinator

Fletcher Steel is New Zealand’s leading importer, distributor and processor of steel representing Fletcher Building’s Easysteel, Fletcher Reinforcing, Fletcher Wire Products, Dimond Roofing, Dimond Structural, Pacific CoilCoaters  and CSP Pacific brands. We are the strength at the heart of New Zealand’s buildings and infrastructure. Our people use their experience, skills and individuality to do amazing work.

The Fletcher Steel People and Performance team provides leadership and support across our 800 employees throughout our 30 sites in New Zealand. We are a small team who understand that our role is about helping our business and people succeed and playing our part in ensuring everyone goes home safe.

The Role
Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a passionate People and Performance Coordinator. The emphasis of this opportunity is on true ‘partnering’ with the business - it’s more than just a title. This means you’ll understand the businesses challenges and provide support where needed.  We are culturally a diverse organisation and you’ll enjoy that environment. This role also requires excellent communication skills, data integrity and management of critical information.

About You
You’ll bring highly self-motivated approach (no micro managing here!) -  desire to understand our operations and be able to work independently. You may not necessarily be from a HR background, as this is a great opportunity for someone that has a desire to learn and develop in this space.  So, we’re not so interested in what your current job title is – it’s more what you would bring to the business and how you would add to the team and our business.  You’ll enjoy contributing to the ongoing conversations around strategic and tactical focus of the People and Performance team and will bring a sense of humour, adaptability and resilience.

What we offer
We believe that having a truly flexible and adaptable workplace makes us stand out from the crowd, and we operate in a high-trust environment that allows for a true work-life balance. We are also committed to the ongoing development of our people; our Employee Education Fund will help you develop your career.

If you are looking to take your next step in HR and meet the above criteria, please don’t hesitate to apply and find out more! We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, and strive to create an inclusive environment for all our employees. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply to any of our vacant positions.
