This is a key role within a successful business environment that is expanding their operation in this region.  This is an exciting time to join the business, part of a New Zealand owned and operated company, with the opportunity to work closely with the business owner and oversee the sales team to support and drive the growth of the company within the wider Manawatu and surrounding regions.  You will be responsible for hands-on sales as well as providing direction and leadership to your sales team.
  
The ideal candidate will be an experienced sales manager from a building/construction background, with a proven track record for delivering strong growth targets in a competitive environment and developing solid customer relationships.
  
Key responsibilities include:
  • Increasing product awareness by promoting the brand
  • Coaching and developing your team to build capability and ensure success
  • Driving sales in conjunction with an established support network
  • Achieving overall growth and performance of the business in line with the owner’s expected deliverables
  
The successful applicant will have:
  
  • Strong communication skills to engage and influence multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in managing a minimum of 2 staff
  • Experienced in operating within a CRM or database environment
  • A positive attitude and strong client focus
  • Proven sales experience (construction/building industry desirable)
  • The ability to apply marketing and advertising tactics
