About the opportunity
This is your chance to become part of a fast-growing commercial testing laboratory that provides information to Australasia's food and environmental sectors. We have a fantastic opportunity in our Sample Reception team for someone who is driven to provide exceptional customer service for a company passionate about helping its customers. The roles on offer are both in a Permanent and Fixed term capacity.

The person we are looking for to fill this role will enjoy dealing with people in person, by phone and by e-mail. They will have good attention to detail, so that we can rely on them to correctly identify and register samples for testing. The successful applicant will ideally have a minimum of two years customer experience, good attention to detail, with a genuine interest in science and a willingness to learn how we use testing techniques to deliver a fast, accurate service to our customer. 

Role description
Sample Reception Technicians are primarily responsible for processing and registering inwards samples and goods and providing support and service to customers. They need to keep precise records for tracking samples with 100 percent accuracy whilst also being able to multitask in a busy and dynamic environment.

The Sample Reception Technician is required to follow ISO 17025 quality requirements, Transitional Laboratory protocols and develop a good knowledge of the tests offered, pricing and customer relationships.
Responsibilities include
o Receipting in Samples
o Ensure the accuracy of the client details and the database
o Responding to queries by phone, email or in-person
o Explaining the tests available and pricing
o Sample tracking, returns and subcontracting
o Always follow ISO 17025 laboratory accreditation principles
o Actively practise continuous improvement
o Keep the workplace clean, tidy, and safe
o Adhere to Analytica's Health & Safety policies and practices
