Head of Marketing - Queenstown
About The Company
Have you ever travelled to Queenstown and wondered how you could move there? MedRecruit can offer you the opportunity to fulfil that dream!

MedRecruit is an amazing kiwi success story with their Head Office based in Queenstown.  Founded by Dr Sam Hazeldine in 2006, this medical-based recruitment firm offers a true point of difference in their field; one where the doctor is placed with a healthcare organisation that matches their career and lifestyle aspirations.  Sam is extremely passionate about ensuring the health and wellbeing of doctors as healthy doctors practise better medicine.  Sam’s passion for MedRecruit delivering this service to doctors has seen the organisation grow to over 85 staff in both Queenstown and the Gold Coast.

Behind their success is the passion of their people.  People love working at MedRecruit because of:
  • The support. Work collaboratively in a team to achieve results – be fully supported and interact with people who have navigated this journey before.
  • The people. Be surrounded by some of the most friendly, kind and passionate leaders and teams – people who are driven but also love to celebrate and have a bit of fun along the way!
  • The impact. Have an impact on the lives of doctors and the people they serve – you will help save people’s lives.

MedRecruit keep their customers front of mind and ensure that they work hard to find the perfect fit that is unique to each doctor.   Supporting the sales team and wider business, is the newly created digitally focused marketing team, led by an experienced Digital Marketing leader.

About The Role

Leading a team of digital marketing specialists, the Head of Marketing develops the customer acquisition strategy and develops key touch points to deliver effective engagement with customers through a variety of channels.  With a strong focus on lead generation, you will map the entire customer journey and implement initiatives to support customer acquisition and retention.

Developing data driven marketing capability through using all the components of Salesforce, you will lead marketing automation innovation and anticipate future needs to support growth initiatives. This will include engaging with customers through multiple digital channels for optimal lead conversions, development of a market leading customer referral programme, and overseeing a website revamp.  You will work closely with the senior management team to ensure initiatives align with the business strategy, as well as the sales teams to review lead generation results and refine accordingly.   All digital engagement comes at a cost, so the best ROI on initiatives is expected.

The role reports to the COO and has three staff reporting into it; a Digital Performance Manager, a Campaign and Content Manager and a Marketing Assistant.

About You

To be successful in this role:
  • You will be an experienced marketer with a strong focus on digital activity.
  • You will have extensive experience leading and inspiring teams to constantly push boundaries and achieve results.
  • You consider yourself entrepreneurial and can demonstrate a breadth of marketing capability to support customer acquisition and relationship strategies.
  • You have proven experience in a services environment, managing up and working across an organisation to deliver to marketing strategies.
  • You are commercially minded and can think critically about business problems and generate viable solutions to meet outcomes.
