Account Manager

There are no two ways about it - this role involves sales, but if you love a challenge and you don't shy away from getting on the horn then read on!

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to be a part of the Region Trade team to work out of your local store/trade centre.

Your main areas of focus will be securing new business as well as building and maintaining relationships with existing trade account clients. This means you will have initiative, and an absolute commitment to customer service, follow-up and the negotiation skills to close a sale.

Knowledge of construction, products and tools (a building industry background) is essential for this role.

To achieve your goals, you will be supported by your Area Sales Manager, our merch and trade teams, quoting facilities and of course our extensive product range.

There will be a lot of opportunity for you to grow your client base beyond just cold calling. We will encourage you to get out on building sites, check out competitors' business offerings, and attend trade exhibitions and trade association meetings. Not only will this get you in front of new sales opportunities, but it will keep you in the know and up to speed on your industry and product knowledge. Every interaction counts, and we want you to know your clients and your local trade community inside out and backward.
