Automation Engineer

In a typical day

The fundamental purpose of this role is to improve, maintain and install new equipment for production line upgrade projects as well as ongoing continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with various departments within the business to identify area of improvement and come up with effective and feasible solutions. Once a plan of action is agreed upon, you’ll be able to get hands on, manually installing, programming and commissioning new equipment.

During the week, each 8 hour day starts around 6:30am and finish at 3:30pm so you can dodge peak traffic. On occasion, you’ll be required to cover the Sunday ‘start up’ shift which will give you the following Friday off for a long weekend!


Up to the challenge?

 This role will suit a practically minded and degree qualified Electrical Engineer with experience integrating robotic systems and PLC controlled machinery. Further, we’d like to talk to individuals who:
  • Have an Electrical background (EWRB registration preferred)
  • Deep understanding and exposure to SCADA and HMI’s
  • PLC programming & Fault-finding experience (Allen Bradley, Logix, Siemens)
  • Food manufacturing / FMCG industry experience essential
  • ABB Robotics programming experience preferred
  • Use AutoCAD to produce electrical drawings
