Commercial Property Manager

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Based in Central Auckland, our client is a reputable organisation with one of the largest commercial property portfolios in Auckland. They are a very experienced and highly regarded team. The portfolio includes some very significant commercial properties, which are primarily retail focused.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an intermediate to senior level Commercial Property Management role established to manage the assets within the organisation. The goal is to strategically manage tenancies and properties, fill any office and retail vacancies, allocate resources across assets and businesses, add value to existing assets and ultimately improve the portfolio value.
  
This is a contract role starting as soon as possible, for 6 months initially, with possibility to extend.
  
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  
Management and oversight of the following:
  • Office, retail and industrial properties within the portfolio
  • Future development sites
  • Tenant relationships
  • Tenancy and car park schedules
  • Lease negotiation
  • Marketing and communications
  • Vacancy absorption
  • Liaison with real estate agencies re portfolio vacancy
  • Rent reviews
  • Fit-out supervision
  • Project management supervision
  • Preferred contractor selection
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 
  • At least 7 years’ hands-on experience in the Commercial Property sector (preferably Retail)
  • New Zealand Property Industry experience preferred
  • Outstanding communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Strong Project Management and Stakeholder skills
