We are seeking a welcoming, enthusiastic and friendly person with initiative to work as our Office Manager in our busy school office. The school is situated on the beautiful Kāpiti Coast. We are a full primary school in a rural location, a thought of by our community as a country school. Currently with 239 students, our roll is growing. Our vision is to  ‘Grow great learners for today and tomorrow’ that are good citizens who have courage, empathy, a sense of fun, and demonstrate respect and tolerance. 

This role will suit someone who has great communication skills along with a professional manner and a sense of humour! As the reception area is the first point of contact, it is essential that this person loves to deal with both children and adults. The perfect candidate will have a positive attitude, high energy levels, cool head when under pressure, proven time management skills and ability to multitask, attention to detail, high level of initiative and be able to develop a positive working relationship with our students, community and staff. Having the ability to operate with empathy, honesty, integrity and confidentiality is essential.

Previous office experience along with excellent MS office skills, great time management and attention to detail are essential for this role. Recent school based work and experience with Novopay & Enrol is desirable, although training can be provided.  

Duties will include: payroll (data entry), accounts (Xero) and financial reporting, general office duties, communication support (including website & newsletters), first aid for our students and general admin support for our principal and teaching team, and Board of Trustees Minutes Secretary. Police vetting and identify checks will be required. Training and support will be provided. Position will begin 3rd February 2020. 

Hours of work are 8am - 4pm.
