About the Role

Dempsey Wood needs someone that can hit the ground running to provide fast and friendly tech support to our growing team of 400 staff. If you know your way around Windows Servers, Office 365, software, can troubleshoot phones, laptops and desktops and share a few shortcuts to improve efficiency where possible, then this role will offer a massive amount of variety, challenge and satisfaction.
 
Lots of flexibility is required and your problem-solving attitude will certainly be tested! The role will predominantly be based in Penrose, with the opportunity for weekly trips out of the office to meet the guys on site and help solve all their ICT issues.

Typical duties
  • First point of contact for all ICT Support requests
  • Managing Active Directory, SharePoint and Office 365 Administration
  • PC/laptop/mobile phones, software and hardware troubleshooting and set-ups.
  • Maintaining hardware and accessory stock levels
  • Evaluate, update and purchase hardware as required
  • Recording device details (serial numbers) against users
  • Technical Support for remote locations
  • Assisting users so they become more efficient with their use of ICT
  • Some software skills would be good too such as Database and Reporting experience but a willingness to get stuck in rather than experience is more useful.
Requirements 
  • Knowledge in Active Directory, Office 365
  • Good knowledge and skills around PC, phone, tablets troubleshooting
  • IT Tertiary qualification of some sort
  • At least 2-3 years' experience in a tech-support role, customer-facing ideally
  • Full driving licence
  • Lively fun-loving attitude, this role wouldn't likely suit a shy person...you'll be dealing with engineers and construction personnel!
