About the business
WhitebaitMedia is New Zealand's leading producer of content for children and youth audiences, including What Now, Darwin & Newts and Fanimals – we are a fast-moving media company that continues to expand in size and reach – consistently growing audiences across all screens. At WhitebaitMedia we pride ourselves on having a great team environment.
What Now are on the hunt for a new cohost to join in the fun (and gunge!) of presenting this iconic New Zealand children's television show.
About the role
You'll need to be confident in front of a camera, great with kids, be funny, able to laugh at yourself and be prepared to get messy.
We are all about having fun so the ability to act in sketches and parodies is a must.
You also need to be able to contribute to each of the episode scripts bringing your ideas, no matter how crazy, offer up research and write links with your co-presenters.
What Now is committed to speaking Te Reo so fluency in Te Reo Maori would be an asset.
This is a demanding role, with a lot of travelling up and down the country and early mornings. Sunday is especially early and you will need lots of positive energy to bring to the nation.
Sound like you? Then get yourself in front of camera and show us! Please submit a video (no longer than 5 minutes) including the following:
- Introduce yourself to us on camera.
- Perform a joke.
- Interview a child on camera aged between 5 - 12 about their passion.
We encourage you to think outside the box and showcase your personality in fun and engaging ways, as if a child was watching...and you want them to keep watching.
Full auditions with applicants successful in the first phase will be held in Auckland and Christchurch in mid-December.
So give it a go – you could be the next What Now presenter!
Extended the deadline - Send application video links by Friday 13th December 5pm to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
