About the role

Sustainability Consultant (1 year fixed term (with possibility of extension) full time 37.5 hours a week (negotiable).

Are you passionate about sustainability and waste reduction? Would you love to educate people about the waste hierarchy and behaviour change? Do you have an eye for detail and take pride in writing reports that will make a difference? Do you want to create social and environmental impact and work for Wellington's leading sustainability social enterprise?

We are seeking a sustainability consultant to work in the Your Sustainable Workplace programme. You will help businesses to review their waste minimisation practices and make changes to help them move towards a zero waste culture. Your main tasks will be to undertake assessments, write reports and deliver workshops. You will work with your colleagues to ensure that the programme is delivered on time and in a professional manner to keep our clients happy. 

If you have a great eye for detail and numbers and love working with people then this job could be for you. Ideally you will have background and/or a relevant qualification in sustainability. Maybe you have worked or volunteered for a social enterprise or NGO so understand what it means to have a 'chip-in' culture. You will need to be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and be able to quickly learn to use our CRM system.
