Central District is responsible for the delivery of policing services across diverse communities and a large geographical area spanning across the Manawatu, Whanganui and Taranaki policing areas.

 

As a Senior Intelligence Analyst you will effectively enable decision-maker advantage, providing advice and strategic impact to support New Zealand Police in achieving our mission to be the safest country. As a key member of the Central District Intelligence team you will be responsible for supporting the District's decision-makers as well as investigative and frontline staff.

 

As a Senior Intelligence Analyst your skills and experience will enable you to effectively mentor and develop junior staff. Attention to detail is important and will be evident in the top quality peer review of products. Work will be varied and there will be opportunities for development.

 

It is expected that internal applicants will have their New Zealand Diploma in Intelligence Analysis (NZDIA). Successful external applicants will be expected to complete the NZDIA during their tenure. Special Requirements:

  • Shift work is a component of this position
