Pets In The City are searching for an enthusiastic, experienced Animal Caregiver to join our Wairau Park Pet Hotel and Doggy Day Care team. You must love animals and be passionate about taking care of our customers’ precious pets.
Pets In The City is an exclusive Pet Hotel and Doggy Day care facility dedicated to offering the very best care and facilities to our customers’ beloved dogs and cats. Pets In The City is a unique concept in the pet care industry, offering a variety of services including indoor doggy day care, luxury dog and cat hotel facilities, grooming, dog training and pet focused retail. We are open to care for our customer’s furry friends 7 days a week including public holidays.
You will be working as part of a team responsible for the day to day care of our day care and hotel guests (dogs and cats). Key responsibilities include ensuring all our guests are entertained, happy, safe and healthy at all times; that their play parks and dog apartments and cat condominiums are spotlessly clean and that every one of our “furry” guests leave Pets In The City having had a wonderful experience.
You will be required to work on a rotating roster across any 7 days in the week, including evenings and weekends, public and school holidays as required.
Previous experience in a similar working environment or veterinarian clinic is essential as is a relevant animal care qualification. You will be require to demonstrate your animal handling skills and show that you possess common sense and initiative in the animal care environment. In addition you must be able to follow instructions, work as a team and most importantly - love working with animals!
