Upper Hutt Housing Trust is a not-for profit trust responsible for sourcing sustainable housing for homeless people and providing emergency and transitional housing to people in the greatest need, for the duration of their need, alongside supporting the government's priorities in the supply of emergency and affordable housing.
To achieve our objectives the Property Manager will help us by maintaining the management of the Trust’s housing portfolio.
You will do this by providing all the traditional services of managing our rental properties to make sure they are adequately maintained and serviced, manage rental contracts and follow up on outstanding rent, arrange repair and maintenance of the properties as needed.
This position would suit an experienced property manager or a person who has managed multiple properties. A passion for working with vulnerable tenants who may be struggling while providing a professional service to our landlords is essential.
Key skills required:
Understanding of the social housing environment
Understanding of tenancy and contract law
Ability to work with vulnerable people
Flexible and reliable
Good time management with high attention to detail
Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
Good problem solving skills
