The opportunity:

The Employee Lifecycle Engineer administers platforms that support the employee lifecycle. Designing, engineering, developing and supporting technical software solutions for the employee experience division which in turns supports all MYOB staff. The key aspect to this role is to optimise and streamline the workflow in order to provide an exceptional employee experience

What's involved in the gig:

  • Leverage and enhance the user experience of our HRIS system Cornerstone.
  • Automate and streamline data to and from Cornerstone to optimise and automate experiences for staff.
  • Analyse and decompose complicated software systems and design strategies and approaches to automatically deploy, maintain and monitor these systems.
  • Ensure appropriate backup and system redundancy solutions are in-place.
  • Define and implement appropriate failover and disaster recover procedures and processes.
  • Provide timely and elegant communication to key stakeholders.
  • Define, maintain and adhere to planning, development and testing processes and policies that are consistent with MYOB’s agile development model and product development lifecycle leading to successful release and iteration planning and execution.
  • Plan, manage and adhere to MYOB’s security policies and processes to ensure cloud services and components are highly secure and monitored for security breaches.
  • Develop, refine and extend build, monitoring, deployment and provisioning systems and tools to ensure seamless build, provisioning, deployment and monitoring of cloud and on-premise services and components.

The experience we're after:

  • 2+ years’ experience administering Cornerstone or other HRIS platforms
  • Experience in supporting key business applications.
  • Experience and understanding of Employment lifecycle
  • Experience in automating and integrating disparate data sources to build and maintain a source of truth. Including understanding of API frameworks and public cloud applications.
  • Strong experience administering continuous integration systems such as Jenkins or similar and scripting with Powershell.
  • Outcome focus, and the ability to set and manage team and personal goals and deadlines
  • Effective written & verbal communication and influencing skills
  • Strong experience scaling build and deployment systems through on premise and cloud environments
