Join our Frontline whānau in an exciting role as an Instructor for Rimutaka and Arohata Prisons.

We are looking for leaders in the distribution and logistics industry who want to work with men who have had diverse life experiences but are motivated about making a positive change in their lives.

We need you to teach, support and use your life experiences to help others unleash their talents and be part of something that can be life changing!

We can offer you a supportive work environment that will stretch your skills and offer you opportunities for development and growth while providing you with personal satisfaction at the same time.

Offender Employment (OE) is all about supporting offenders to improve their work habits, work experiences and skills so that they can increase their chances of obtaining sustainable and legitimate employment on their release. By providing this foundation to success, we reduce reoffending and keep our communities safer.

We are looking for someone who has experience in distribution / logistics who holds a relevant trade qualification. We are looking for applicants who are passionate about helping our prisoners make positive changes. Exciting opportunity for the right person who prides themselves in their work and is safety conscious.

The ideal candidate will have;

  • Ideally be experienced as an adult educator or NZQA assessor (4098 or equivalent)
  • Minimum of Class 2 Drivers Licence
  • Current first aid certificate
  • Outstanding Health and Safety practices

A comprehensive induction and initial basic training course is provided for the successful applicant. This will involve 11 weeks residential training at our College just outside of Wellington to focus on the custodial elements of our position.
