Management Accountant

Our Story

PlatformPlus, a 100% subsidiary of Community Living Trust and a not for profit organisation, delivers Managed Services to several Health and Disability service providers in New Zealand.

The Opportunity

PlatformPlus is on a growth curve and recruiting for positions that are of strategic importance to its mission. The Management Accountant, will contribute to the efficient and successful operation of PlatformPlus and its clients, key among them Community Living.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising with Business Unit Heads and their Managers regarding financial aspects of their services
  • Developing and managing Financial Systems, Policies and Procedures
  • Developing and proposing pricing strategies by analysing all costs, industry standards and external comparative pricing data
  • Developing or carrying out business modelling and risk assessments in support of strategic planning and capital projects
  • Preparing financial reports, budgets and forecasts, commentaries and financial statements for Senior Management and Board review and signoff
  • Develop and implement process and systems to efficiently scale, while being compliant
  • Other ad hoc analytical tasks.

About you:

You will be highly analytical, have good attention to detail, be proactive and systems and process driven. You will be a team player with strong technical skills and intermediate to advance knowledge of multiple Accounting Packages and business applications to measure and report business performance.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with at least 3-5 years' experience in management accounting or costing.

While experience in the New Zealand Healthcare and Disability Sector is desirable, you must have worked within businesses with multiple business units and entities and proficient in consolidation of their financial reports.
