Commercial Analyst

We are looking for a 6-mth fixed-term Commercial Analyst to partner with a division of this commercial organisation to support & drive cost efficiencies. The key purpose for this role is to ensure that the organisation receives maximum value from its suppliers at minimum cost.

About the role
  • Undertake reviews of business contracts and advise across a broad range of matters including cost minimisation, service maximisation and other opportunities to enhance the organisation’s financial performance;
  • Undertake high quality financial analysis and evaluation of suppliers and associated costs with the intention of cost-benefits maximisation;
  • Formulate, influence and implement cost efficiency recommendations/solutions;
  • Undertake deep dives and trend analysis of costs;
  • Develop and maintain reporting and dashboards required to track cost savings across the division;
  • Lead or assist with leveraging tools and systems towards more efficient and insightful management information and data analysis;
  • Develop new data sources and analytic methods to meet cost reduction targets.
About you
  • Finance or Accounting degree (or similar tertiary qualification);
  • 2+ years experience in an accounting or finance role;
  • Proven ability in problem solving & analystics;
  • Demonstrable contributions to improvements in the financial performance of an organisation;
  • Experience providing general business advice;
  • Exemplarary interpersonal & stakeholder management skills.
