Copywriter (12-month FTA)
Mitre 10 needs no introduction as a proudly New Zealand owned and operated business – you see us in almost every town through our Mitre 10 MEGA, Mitre 10 and Hammer Hardware stores. We’ve been a trusted brand since 1974 and today are the country’s biggest home improvement and gardening retailer as well as a partner of choice for trade professionals.
Due to continued growth and to stay one step ahead of our competitors, we have a second opportunity available for a Copywriter (Product) to join us on a 12-month fixed term basis at our Albany based Support Centre.
Tasked with producing customer-focused product copy primarily for our critical e-commerce and digital channels, this role requires an e-commerce savvy individual to apply their expertise to the unique requirements of the digital world, delivering copy that is not only compelling, accurate and informative, but optimised for internal and external search functions.
You will be a part of a fun and creative marketing team. Reporting to the Web Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery of our e-commerce and digital channels. You will also work closely with the merchandise team to understand product strategy and align with promotional activity. You will be able multi-task to balance various timelines
To be successful you’ll have:
- Exceptional writing and proofing skills
- Three or more years practical experience in a similar role
- An understanding of e-commerce conversion rate optimisation tactics
- Proficient in the use of google analytics and other reporting & analytics tools.
We offer a challenging and stimulating work environment; flexible working hours; a fun and collaborative culture; perfect location easily accessible from the motorway and much more.
If this sounds like you, please apply via our careers page with your CV, cover letter and an indication of your salary expectation.
